Before starting our film opening, we were briefed on the technology we would be using, some of which I was unfamiliar with/had never used, and others I wasn’t used to, and so it took time to be able to use it appropriately.

In order to create our product, we firstly needed to use the internet and YouTube to research other films of the same genre. This wasn’t a new skill for us, however we did need to learn how to upload the information we found onto our website. From this we expanded our knowledge of Wix that we used to create our own websites. For filming, we used a school camera. Except for during the preliminary task, I had never used these before. Therefore, in order to film well and how we wanted it to be filmed, I had to get used to holding the camera correctly to make the filming as good and clear as possible, and I had to get to grips with how the zoom worked – to make it a smooth transition in our film.

To edit our film opening, we used Sony Vegas Pro 11. Before this task I had no knowledge on how to use this software, and found it difficult to get to grips with. Issy, one of my team members, managed to get to grips with it and taught me the necessary things I needed to know in order to help edit our film. Once I had learnt the technology a bit better, I was able to help edit the clips together, add sounds, and add the credits onto our film.
