Music Video Draft

Audience Feedback
Based on our audience feedback, and our own opinions, we decided a few changes were necessary in order for our music video to be as good as possible. From here, we worked on changing the shot lengths during the party scenes, which we and some others felt were too long. Thus meaning these scenes became slightly tedious and boring for the viewer to watch. In order to improve these moments, we plan to split some of the scenes to create faster paced editing like the rest of the video. This will work better, as it is conventionally seen in pop music videos, and will fit better with the tempo of the song. We also plan to change the writing that features in the video. Our audience commented a few times that they didn't like it, whether it was the colour or the writing in general. We also felt this writing was slightly child-like and, despite being a song aimed at young-teenage girls, we decided this element needed maturing. Therefore, we plan to make the writing more san serif font - which is still appealing to youthful viewers, but has a clearer, more professional look. Based on comments made by our audience, we also plan to make these scenes more appropriate colours, which will tie the music video together much better. During a performance scene, we added a zoom element to focus on a couple of members of the band. We felt this would be effective, however the zoom isn't as smooth and effective as hoped. Therefore, and as suggested by the audience, we plan to make this zoom smoother, in order to create a more professional scene, which gradually achieves the desired effect. Finally, the ending raised a few queries with our audience, and as a group we were also not happy with how it turned out, as the girls were supposed to all speak at the same time, to show unity against the male character. We feel this scene needs further refining to ensure the timings are correct and that the song fades slightly quieter at the correct time - as it is at the moment, the music fades too early.
